Our volunteers day with Emmaus Hertfordshire was a great reminder of what can be achieved when people come together for a common purpose.

Together we helped clear and prepare part of the Emmaus site to make way for temporary accommodation structures ahead of the winter months. It was a physical day’s work, but one that will make a real difference.

Emmaus is an international charity supporting people who have experienced homelessness by offering not just a bed, but a home, meaningful work, companionship and the opportunity to rebuild their lives with dignity and purpose. It’s a model that creates lasting change, and we’re proud to have played a small part in supporting that mission.

A huge thank you to everyone from the HIDB membership who generously gave their time and energy. Your willingness to roll up your sleeves for such a worthwhile cause reflects the collaborative spirit that makes this network so valuable.
