The future of sustainability in Hertfordshire: June’s meeting
In June we welcomed more than 80 guests to Brocket Hall for another productive and varied meeting.
Amanda Foley, Chief Exec at St Albans City and District Council provided an update on behalf of the Resourcing Task & Finish Group. This group assembled off the back of November’s meeting and is working closely together to bring some of the brilliant ideas to fruition.
Members were then treated to a rousing speech from Lynne Ceeney, Director of Sustainability at Hertfordshire County Council before Cllr Graham McAndrew, Chair of the Hertfordshire Climate Change and Sustainability Partnership at East Herts introduced the workshop session that would follow.
As before, members broke into groups to discuss thoughts and ideas about how we can operate more sustainably in the region.
Josie Cadwallader-Hughes, Sustainability Director at Thakeham provided an excellent summary of the workshops, focusing on key themes around the importance of communication, adaptability and strategic vision.
